About the SportsKaki Movement

SportsKaki was created by sports enthusiasts for sports enthusiasts. We recognized that many individuals, regardless of the sport, face difficulty in finding players who not only have like skills and abilities but the time to play. Having often experienced this ourselves, we decided to create a community portal that allows everyone to keep his or her sporting interests alive.

This site is a great resource for all levels (from beginners to advanced level) and different sports (tennis, soccer, netball, etc.). We offer free tournament listings, forums, message boards to enable individuals and teams (formal or informal. e.g. clubs, schools or social groups) to form their own sports network. Members of SportsKaki can publish schedules, statistics and participate in sports virtual forums. Best of all, members can "Kaki up" (hook up) with individuals or teams who have the same level of skills. We believe that by "match-making", our members will be able to up their level of game-play.

There is no substitute for practice. We can only improve if we are exposed to and get a chance to play in as many matches as possible. We believe that this is a holistic way of training, improving and maintaining one’s level of play. The only trouble is for most of us, time and availability gets in the way. Using the "Kaki-up" is a simple process to engage your potential partner for a game. The "Kaki-up" proprietary system lets you select partners with play details like how long has he/she been playing the sport, at which level (beginner, intermediate or advanced) and other details.

One can easily find out who would be the best fit. The kaki-up engine was also built with security in mind. For instance, personal details from the sport initiator or the members who are listed in the network are not shown, especially your email addresses unless approved by users in advance. All messaging to and from both parties are facilitated and confined in the system.

The "Kaki up" engine helps to send emails to the respective parties to alert you on all progress. This "Kaki-up" network is built for both individuals and teams alike. Teams are able to list their team members like all eleven plus reserve players in soccer or all players in a netball team.

Team captains will have an easier job here, as any confirmed games successfully matched-up would be emailed automatically to all players conveniently. To help our members' improve their game and fitness, SportsKaki features articles on coaching, training, sports psychology, nutrition, and injury prevention by sports experts. We also invite our members to share their experiences and knowledge—the best way for everyone to get more enjoyment out of their sport!
